Our Teams
Our teams are at the core of our organization. They are responsible for accomplishing the club's projects and organizing regular learning sessions. Each team is run by a team leader and consists of members with diverse backgrounds and skills. Our teams are open to all students, regardless of experience level.
The Legal team handles all legal matters concerning the Club. Members ensure that our activities comply with regulations and support the Club’s governance. This team is ideal for those interested in contract review and corporate law in a student organization context.
Key Activities:
- Review and draft contracts for events and sponsorships
- Amend statutes to establish the legal basis for the AIC real-money portfolio
The Quant Team focuses on the quantitative aspects of finance. We explore statistical models, derivatives pricing, and algorithmic trading strategies to gain insights into market behavior. Members develop coding and data analysis skills to create and test financial models.

The Events & Communications team is the voice and face of the Aachen Investment Club. We design and promote engaging events, manage our social media presence, and create content that makes finance accessible and exciting. Whether you're organizing workshops or crafting viral content, this team brings the Club's energy to life.
Key Activities:
- Plan and execute engaging events and workshops
- Manage and grow our presence on Instagram and LinkedIn
- Capture and edit photos and videos for social media and marketing
The Stock Pitch team conducts in-depth analyses of promising companies and presents the results to the Club. Members actively engage with equity research, fundamental analysis, and valuation methods. This is the perfect environment to sharpen analytical abilities while also developing presentation and communication skills.

- Analyze companies across industries
- Perform equity valuation (DCF, comparables, market frameworks)
- Prepare investment theses and presentations

The Portfolio Management Team is responsible for managing and optimizing our paper-trading portfolios. We test investment strategies and evaluate risk-return metrics to enhance performance. Members gain hands-on experience in asset allocation and performance tracking.

The News Team keeps a close eye on international financial markets and evaluates key events. Insights are compiled into a regular newsletter and shared with the club and on social media. This team helps members improve their ability to analyze market-moving events and communicate insights effectively.

The External Relations team supports the Board by expanding the Club’s professional network of corporate partners. With a primary focus on establishing meaningful connections in the financial industry, the team drives the growth of partnerships that bolster our mission.

The Developer Team builds and maintains the club’s digital infrastructure. We focus on web development, data engineering, and integration. Members enhance their programming skills while working on real-world financial applications in a collaborative coding environment.
